I would rather spend one lifetime with you, than face all the ages of this world alone. – Lord of the Rings
They met at a keg party at Villanova University – Kerry was a student while Mike was visiting his older brother. Over the next decade they texted and chatted over Facebook but were never able to reconnect in person. That is until a little app called Tinder did it for them…well, kinda.
Mike was scrolling through his feed when he saw Kerry. He swiped right obviously, but never got a match. So he took to Facebook and asked her what the deal was! They laughed it off and went on a date. The rest is history.
Their wedding was being held at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, NY. It’s a gorgeous golf club that Mike belongs to and plays golf at every weekend. Kerry got ready at their apartment complex in Stamford, beautifully set on a marina. She opted for the party room because of the ample space and lighting that it provided – a smart move since her bridesmaids could get hair and makeup in one room while she got ready in the other. The space and lighting really made the photos some of our favorites of the year!
Mike got ready in the locker room at Winged Foot Golf Club – it gave a really ‘old-school-cool’ vibe to the photos.
Mike’s uncle gave a fantastic homily at the ceremony that was really personal and gave a great narrative for the film. We used it a lot! After the ceremony we headed back to Winged Foot Golf Club where we shot portraits around the grounds and on the course.
The remaining time was spent partying the night away with their friends and family to the sounds of The Sultans. What a fantastic wedding this was!
