I’ve only photographed a handful of elopements-most of my weddings are in the 150 to 250 guest range-but there’s something very special about the intimacy of just a couple and me. So when Katelynn reached out about photographing her elopement, I was all in. It was a perfect Tuesday in July, right in my hometown, with two people simply excited to make it official.

Originally, they weren’t planning to have video, but I suggested we keep it casual -I’d mostly focus on photos but switch over the video here and there. For the ceremony, I promise to dedicate a camera so they at least have their vowels captured.

I’m so glad we did. I didn’t know what Matt was saying in the moment – he spoken Portuguese- but once I had it translated, it was incredibly moving.

Thank you Katelynn & Matt for choosing me to be your Waveny Park Wedding Elopement Photographer!
