Stroudsmoor is the perfect Pocono weddings resort. Award winning and renowned for their hospitality, relaxed atmosphere, and dining. It was fitting that our couple Kristin & Erik were getting married there since they’re basically the perfect couple. They’re sweet, kind, good looking, and…well, perfect.
Erik and Kristin met at a party in college. Erik’s humor caught Kristin’s eye during a karaoke night and the two exchanged numbers. She was sitting in the dining hall eating lunch with her roommate when Erik texted her for the first time. She was so so excited (and nervous). They texted each other for a while and Erik even helped Kristin out with history homework. She thought Erik was sweet — a little too sweet but soon realized that Erik is just a down to earth, good person. It wasn’t long before the two fell in love.
What was your favorite memory from your wedding?
It’s so hard to choose from! But the top few are when my husband danced with my not only his mom but his grandma, my grandma and my mom. I also loved our first look. I have never seen my husband cry the way he did on our wedding day.
Tell us about your dress and why you picked it!
I wanted something simple with a little sparkle. It’s a Mori Lee by Madeline Gardner. I knew I wanted to try it on when I found it in a magazine. It fit my personality perfectly. I also wanted something with a train. The lace with the belt was the perfect touch!
Did you have a theme to your wedding? If so, tell us about it!
Just wanted something classic and elegant with sunflowers, my favorite flower.
Tell us about Erik’s outfit.
Erik wore a Navy Tux with a white vest and tie. I wanted him to wear something different than his groomsmen, but still be tied into our wedding colors. His suit matched the guys vest and tie. He also looks pretty good in navy with his red hair!

You’ve now been through the ups and downs of a wedding – any advice for other brides and grooms?
Just have fun. Relax and enjoy the day! If something goes wrong, go with the flow. The power went out from a storm the night before. It all turned out fine in the end!
