Alissa is a friend of ours from our Highschool and college days, so when she contacted us about her NY wedding, we were excited and honored. As you’ll see from her wedding ingredients below, she had an all-star crew of vendors and we were lucky enough to be included. A crazy thing happens to us at weddings – a feeling we get when we watch our friends get married. It’s as if the person you’ve known your whole life, the one you’ve spent many late nights talking to, the one who’s seen you at your best but also your worst, is suddenly not that same person. They become a celebrity – at least for the day. It’s another reason why weddings are so awesome. You get to live out that fantasy of being a star – the center of attention. This particular feeling was experienced during Alissa and Marc’s wedding.
When we met Marc in our studio over a year ago, he couldn’t stop smiling. He’s one of the nicest people we’ve ever met and clearly in love with Alissa. Alissa with her soft and kind personality is the perfect balance to Marc’s more outward one. Simply put, the two are perfect for each other.
It was great working w/ Ricky Restiano and his crew again. If possible, we always suggest couples hire vendors that we’ve worked w/ before. It makes the day run smoother and your imagery will be THAT much better. As you’ll see in the film, we utilized Ricky’s vast knowledge of the area to get some amazing footage.
It was our first time filming at the Tarrytown House Estate and it was awesome! We loved the beautiful views, the big green lawns, and the grand ballroom. It was the perfect place to hold Alissa and Marc’s wedding reception. The Original Faze 4 band was on point that night and rocked the house.
Sidenote: Alissa is a bit of a Jersey Boy fanatic. I believe the amount of times she’s seen the show is up to 15 times. She was even proposed to after a Jersey Boys concert. So what does someone who is so into Jersey Boys do for her wedding day? You hire Jarrod Spector, one of the past lead singers to sing a few songs, including your first dance – that’s what! It was so cool to witness – it was a special moment and as you’ll see in the film, Alissa was probably the happiest at that moment.
