“The real lover is the man who can thrill you by kissing your forehead or smiling into your eyes or just staring into space.” – Marilyn Monroe

Janelle and Rich have known each other for long time. They both live in the same town and through mutual friends, they’ve been friendly for years. Janelle plays on a softball team called The Pink Ladies and every year she hosts a Christmas party so everyone can get together during the holidays. In 2010, Rich was at one of those parties and the next day Janelle received a text saying he woke up with a camera in his pocket. They started texting every day after that.

Their first real “date” was in Bryant Park. Janelle had torn the ligaments in her ankle playing softball and was in an air-cast. They met after work and had had dinner and drinks, something they had done a million times before…but there was a different excitement that time. When the waiter was taking their order he said, “and for your wife…”  Janelle thought she was going to die from embarrassment, but Rich didn’t flinch.
