It was the first semester of her senior at the University of Michigan – she wasn’t looking for anything serious and wanted to enjoy her last year in college and hang out with friends. One Thursday night at Colonial Lanes in Ann Arbor, Michigan (a bowling alley), Elana was with some friends and Marc was in the lane next to her.
Marc made the first contact and asked Elana if she needed help – apparently she wasn’t too great at bowling. Marc and Elana chatted the rest of that night and when it was time to leave, Marc asked for her number. She must have put the number in wrong (not on purpose!) because when Marc tried to call it, he realized it was one number short! But, Marc remembered that she mentioned where she lived on campus – so in Marc’s determined way, he wandered all over campus to find her building. When he found it, he left a handwritten note that the security guard gave me the next day.
Both Elana and Marc got ready at a The Hyatt House in Fishkill, NY. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, they pampered themselves and enjoyed the morning festivities. Elana chose a gorgeous Ashley & Justin Bride gown and Jimmy Choo shoes. Marc looked handsome in his Armani tux.
When it was time to see each other, we headed to The Garrison in Garrison, NY which would be the backdrop for the remainder of the day. Nestled in the idyllic Hudson Highlands just an hour north of Manhattan, The Garrison comprises 300 stunning acres with a world class view of the Hudson River to the distant Catskill mountains. The manicured grounds of the Garrison create an atmosphere of sophistication and elegance enhanced by the exceptional beauty of the surrounding landscape.
