Tribeca Rooftop Wedding Photographer
Have you ever seen the real life Ken & Barbie? Well look no further than our stunning bride and handsome groom Christina & Nick! When they were deciding on their Tribeca Rooftop Wedding Photographer, they knew they wanted someone to help them remember their Tribeca Rooftop wedding, but they also wanted that photographer to capture the way they felt. We were honored they chose us! When we first met Christina & Nick we were heading into the Central Park Conservatory for their engagement session. Six months later and it was time to capture their wedding day at the Tribeca Rooftop.
The day started at The Dominick Hotel where both Christina and Nick got dressed and ready for their big day. After getting into her Christos gown, Christina had a tender moment with her dad. We love these moments where Dad sees his daughter for the first time! Nick wore a custom My Suit suit, monogrammed with his initials on the inside. They exchanged cards and gifts, a Rolex for Nick, a bracelet and new golf shoes for Christina (she comes from a family of amazing golfers, including herself!).
Then it was off to their ceremony which took place at the Old St. Patrick’s Cathedral on the corner of Mott St and Prince St. This church has so much history and the interior was breathtaking! Nick and Christina said their vows and were announced husband and wife!
We jumped in our cars and headed to the Tribeca Rooftop where the rest of the night would play out. We took advantage of the cobblestone streets outside Tribeca Rooftop and the surrounding areas – the perfect location for portraits! Because it was raining, most of the cocktail hour was spent indoors but luckily the rain let up towards the end and Christina, Nick, and her guests were able to enjoy the roof deck and awesome views of Manhattan.
The reception was filled with laughs, happy crying, dancing, and memories they will cherish forever. Christina and Nick, thank you so much for choosing Michael Justin Studios to be your Tribeca Rooftop Wedding Photographer – we wish you many years of happiness!
Bridgeview Yacht Club Wedding – Karen & Daniel
This Bridgeview Yacht Club Wedding was one of those picture perfect events – a gorgeous bride, a handsome groom, a fun bridal party, and family members who were kind to us at every opportunity. The crew was lead by Mike Ngo and Donnell Culver with additional camera work by Mike Giardino and Ishan Upadhyay.
Daniel and Karen have a unique love story – they met at a 4th of July Party 7 years ago, although they grew up just around the corner from one another their whole lives. Karen actually had no plans for the evening and was at the beach when she saw a friend who she hadn’t seen in awhile. He invited Karen to a party at his house that night. It was a last minute invite but because she didn’t have any other plans, she decided to go. Turned out Dan was invited to the party pretty last minute as well.
The party was a themed party where you were supposed to dress up as your dream job. Because she was invited so last minute, Karen didn’t show up in a costume. And since she didn’t know many people at the party, Karen almost left…until Dan walked in. He immediately got her attention. In fact, she made the first move. “So what are you supposed to be?” she asked. It wasn’t her best work but it got them talking. They ended up talking the rest of the night and bonded over the fact that they both thought the 4th of July was the best holiday.
Over the 7 years that they have been together, they’ve fallen in love with each other in many different ways. When they are apart from one another, they miss sharing experiences, whether good or bad, and telling the other about it.
Their Bridgeview Yacht Club Wedding was a perfect location for the couple – both really into boating and the water, they were able to keep a nautical theme throughout their day.
What was your favorite memory from your wedding?
Saying our vows and the first dance were both very special moments for me. I also enjoyed towards the middle of the night when we got pulled away for photos. At first I didn’t want to leave the room but it was really nice just having a moment of silence with Dan and being able to really take in the events of the day.
Your dress was GORGEOUS. Tell us about it and why you picked it!
I was looking for a lace gown with a low back. I loved how simple yet classic it was.
Did you have a theme to your wedding? If so, tell us about it!
We had a nautical theme. Dan and I have a sailboat that we restored together and it’s a big part of our relationship. Our wedding was at the Bridgeview Yacht Club right on the water. Dan actually made the trip over from Connecticut to the wedding venue on Long Island a few days before the wedding.
We bet your groom never looked so good! Tell us about his outfit.
Dan got his outfit for the wedding from Men’s Wearhouse. He wanted something practical that he and his groomsmen would be able to wear again so he went with a nice gray suit. He looked great as always.
Describe your day in 1 word

You’ve now been through the ups and downs of a wedding – any advice for other brides and grooms?
Don’t stress the small stuff. The small details may seem like such a big deal in the moment but you realize on the day of how little that stuff really matters. When it comes to the photos have as detailed of a plan as possible so you don’t have to worry about it the day of. Michael Justin’s team was great at staying on schedule and making sure all the photos I wanted were taken.
The Vinoy Wedding Video – Kristina & Zak
““Success is knowing that you have done all you can to become the best you are capable of becoming.”” – John Wooden
Zak and Kristina met in law school. When they first met, they were at different stages of life but on their third year of law school, they had a class together and ended up in a small group working very closely. Their friendship blossomed. One night, they both attended an ugly sweater party at the Salty Dog Saloon with all of their friends. The night started off with everyone celebrating being done with another semester of law school. Then, a few long island’s and a couple dances later, Kristina and Zak were the only ones left at the bar. Zak was a complete gentleman and made sure she got home safely.
Their first real date was at a bar called Gator City, for 25 cent well night. Kristina walked up to the bar where Zak was sitting and he pulled out .50 (in change) and told her he would buy her a double. He placed $0.50 on the bar. Kristina laughed and she hooked.
There is a John Wooden quote Kristina used to have up in her room – “success is knowing that you have done all you can to become the best you are capable of becoming.” Zak and Kristina both live by these words. Zak is one of the hardest working people Kristina knows and he holds himself to standard higher than anyone else could. He will bring this same tenacity to their marriage.
We were so honored that Kristina and Zak flew us down to Tampa for their wedding. When we arrived, we were greeted with the warm and sunny Florida weather – a great treat for us New Yorkers. That day we made our way to the Vinoy and got some establishing shots of the venue and the surrounding area. At night we met up with Kristina, Zak and the rest of their bridal party and family for a celebration of beer and food in anticipation of the follow day’s festivities. We went to bed with our belly’s full and our hearts happy.
The day started with Kristina and her girls getting ready in one of the Vinoy suites. Hair and makeup were being done in a room not too far away. Kristina’s gorgeous Martina Liana gown and Christian Louboutin shoes were on display as we walked into the suite. Her bridesmaids were full of energy – they even had a small dance party to late 90’s/early 2000’s throwbacks by Britney Spears and *NSYNC. It took a lot not to put our cameras down and not join in! Kristina’s Mother helped get her into her gown which was followed by an intimate moment when Kristina opened a card and and a bracelet with the coordinates of the Vinoy given to her by Zak.
Zak and his groomsmen also got ready at the Vinoy, enjoying some down time before all the events took place. After getting dressed, hew as given an autographed Florida Gators National Championship football – something Zak loved!
Kristina and her dad shared a special moment which we were so happy to include in the film. Their ceremony was outside in the garden area and was the perfect backdrop for their own personal vows that they wrote to one another.
Once they were pronounced husband and wife, it was time for the fun! Josh Walter and Phase 5 Band had the whole wedding up on their feet and dancing to their great music.
We also would like to take a quick moment to thank Josh & Rachel Best of Best Photography – they were an absolute delight to work with. We couldn’t have asked for a better photography team to work alongside that day.

‘Will You Marry My Daddy’ Couple Gets Married!
“When I say I love you more, I don’t mean I love you more than you love me. I mean I love you more than the bad days ahead of us, I love you more than any fight we will ever have. I love you more than the distance between us, I love you more than any obstacle that could try and come between us. I love you the most.” – Unknown
You probably remember this couple from their viral Bryant Park proposal a few years ago. A few weeks after the proposal, Mike and Elizabeth contacted us and asked us if we’d like to photograph and film their wedding. Without a second thought, we agreed and were ecstatic to be apart of it!
Elizabeth got dressed at her childhood home where her and her bridesmaids sipped coffee and champagne, got their hair and makeup done, and anticipated the rest of the day. Mike got dressed in the home he, Elizabeth and Michael Jr bought together. Unfortunately MJ wasn’t able to part of the wedding but Mike and Elizabeth took every opportunity to include him in wherever possible. Elizabeth gave Mike a beautiful card that included a picture of Mike’s deceased mother and MJ, and told him to keep the two pictures on him throughout the day. It took all of Mike’s might to not break down and cry! Mike put together a storybook of pictures and words told through the eyes of MJ and gave it as a gift to Elizabeth. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
Next it was off to the Harbor Links Golf Club where Mike and Elizabeth had a “first touch.” What’s a first touch? It’s where the bride and groom can’t see each other but can physically touch each other’s hands and speak to each other. It’s a great moment b/c although they can’t see the other person, excitement and energy is in the air.
Their ceremony at Harbor Links Golf Club was outside over looking the golf course. The day started out rainy but a few hours before the ceremony, the rain stopped and the sun peaked behind the clouds. It was breathtaking! After being announced Husband and Wife, we snapped a few portraits with the remaining sun before heading inside for the reception.
Mike and Elizabeth hired a cigar bar and we jumped at the opportunity to photograph not only the boys enjoying the cigars, but the girls too! Mike and Elizabeth are two incredible people and we wish them (and MJ) a lifetime of happiness!
Oheka Castle Wedding Photos and Video
“I wish I could turn back the clock. I’d find you sooner and love you longer.” – Unknown
There’s no place quite like Oheka Castle and a wedding at Oheka Castle, is the epitome of classy. With their gorgeous architecture and beautiful fountains and gardens, it is one of the most picturesque places to get married in New York.
Jaclyn and Peter met at Villanova University where they were both attending – although at the time, they were just friends. Fast forward to a few years after college and the two met up at a bar with a group of friends. Something was different that night. When they saw each other, there was a feeling that wasn’t there before. They talked and caught up about life post-college, and decided to go on a date. Since they had been friends for so many years before, the conversation was easy- everything just felt…right.
Jaclyn and Peter both got ready at Oheka Castle, which sits on the gold coast of Long Island. Jaclyn and her bridesmaids enjoyed the gorgeous bridal suite that overlooks the elaborate gardens of Oheka, while Pete and his groomsmen prepped a few floors below in another suite.
They got married at a nearby church by Pete’s uncle. After we headed back to Oheka Castle for photos, cocktail hour and reception. What a memorable day for us!

Orienta Beach Club Wedding – Do You Believe in Soulmates?
“I swear I couldn’t love you more than I do right now, and yet I know I will tomorrow.”
So how did we get to Jaclyn and Ryan’s Orienta Beach Club Wedding? Jaclyn and Ryan met when they were only months old – their parents would pick up their older siblings from the same daycare, carrying them under their arm. Their parents always joked that it was the older siblings that would one day get married. Jaclyn and Ryan grew up, lived their separate lives of course, and never knew about the other person…until softball brought them together again. Jaclyn was in a women’s league softball team and Ryan lived nearby. He had a friend on the team and one day rode his bike to the game to watch. Conversation sparked and the two hit it off.
They went on their first date – a double date actually – where Jaclyn had trouble ordering between chicken fingers and grilled cheese. Ryan suggested they order both and split the meals. She was hooked. He was everything she had ever dreamed of in a man – kind, gentle, loving, smart, good looking – and loves comfort food. What more could she ask for?!
Their families have a strong connection to Fordham University – Ryan’s father works there and has for over 30 years, while Jaclyn’s father went to school there. It was the perfect setting for their ceremony. After getting married we hit up the grounds of Fordham, the softball field of course, and ended the session at Orienta Beach Club, where Jaclyn and Ryan were planning to have their wedding reception.
Since the wedding was set in Fall, Jaclyn decorated the tables and entryway with pumpkins, colored leaves, and other autumn inspired decor. They finished the night dancing to Sound Active Events, who had the whole room partying. What a fantastic day we had at this Orienta Beach Club Wedding! Michael Justin Studios did both photography and cinematography at this wedding.
