We are storytellers and visual artists. We are passionate about our craft and strive for perfection. We sacrifice weekends and holidays so that we can do a job we love. Aesthetics are important to us. We appreciate beauty. We’re experts and pride ourselves in our ability to handle anything thrown at us.

When choosing couples, we look for those who connect with our work. Who are moved by our images and cry at our films. They see themselves in our work. They trust us. They aren’t afraid to open up and show a side they don’t show everyone. They believe in what we are doing and our process.

IT STARTS WITH A PHONE CALL

We believe strongly in personal connections and while email is quick and efficient, choosing the right storytellers to document the most important day of your life should be anything but that. We’ll schedule a call and start the dialogue. If we can get you into our office – even better! We’ll review some work, look at albums, and hopefully lock in your date.

PLAN

We’ll work closely with you and/or your planner to develop the best schedule of photography/cinematography for your day. Once you’re an MJS couple, you’ll also get access to our exclusive MJS Experience section of our website with pages of helpful tips, sample timelines, and best practices to have the best chance of a stress-free day.

PRACTICE

A huge part of the MJS Experience is to go through an Engagement Session with your photographer. This is vital to building a rapport with your photographer and getting the best images on the wedding day. Since no two people photograph the same, your photographer will learn what works for you and your partner. After the session we’ll critique the work together and make notes on what to avoid to maximize our time on the wedding day.

CELEBRATE

The day of the wedding should be smooth sailing thanks to all the pre-planning we’ve done together. Just enjoy the day and leave the hard stuff to us.

ENJOY

We know how excited you’ll be after the wedding, which is why it’s our goal to get you your photographs and film back in a timely manner. One thing we will never compromise on though, is quality. Even if it means taking a little bit longer to make everything perfect. After everything is delivered, we’ll start the album design process – something we encourage all our clients to add to their package. Your future generations will thank you.

A Wedding and Portrait Photographer & Cinematographer based in New Canaan, CT

NY Wedding Cinematographer and Photographer Michael Justin is a 2-time Emmy award winner who has over 11 years of wedding cinematography & photography experience. His cinematic storytelling has been featured in major publications such as New York Magazine, Glamour Magazine, Urbanette Magazine, and the Huffington Post as well as featured on major websites and blogs like Style Me Pretty, JetFete, and Carats & Cake.

Michael is a romantic at heart who loves telling stories through visual mediums. When not behind the lens or editing bay, Michael enjoys surfing and the beach, and hanging at home with his wife Jackie and children Jackson, Lyla, and Christian.

Our pictures brought back all the tears, laughs, and emotions that our day was filled with. People who were unable to attend our wedding commented that they felt like they were there through after looking through our pictures. That our love and happiness was palpable through our photos.
